Have You Thanked Our Troops Lately?

September 30th, 2006 by Elaine · 4 Comments

A friend e-mailed me a link to http://www.letssaythanks.com. It is a free and easy way to send postcards to US soldiers stationed all around the world. I sent several cards in just a few minutes. Xerox sponsors the program, printing out the colorful postcards for our military personnel overseas. You can choose from a variety of artwork submitted by children from all over the United States.

All you have to do is click on your favorite design and either select the message that best expresses your sentiment or draft a personal note. The postcards are then printed on the Xerox iGen3® Digital Production Press and mailed in care packages by military support organization Give2TheTroops®.

“There’s nothing like getting mail from home. A letter has a sense of warmth and is more personal than e-mail. With regular mail, it’s all yours to keep and take with you when you’re on the move,” said Specialist Tommy Brooks from the 2-130 Illinois Infantry Battalion served a 12-month tour in Iraq.

Words cannot express my feelings to you men and women personally how proud I am for the sacrifice you are paying. I remember the feelings from the Nam war of how it felt to be away from my family and the knowledge of what the press and certain individuals protesting against the war. What you are doing is right and I support you and am proud to be vocal about it in the public. You are my hero’s and I love you. I pray for your protection and that God will direct you in what ever comes up. I pray for a complete and speedy victory. I know it will because of you and for what you are doing. Happy New Year and God speed in our fight for continual freedom for all that seek it. Paul Beyer
