This is such an easy recipe. It has only 3 ingredients and can be made in just a few minutes. This chili cheese dip can be prepared the night before, or made last minute. It travels nicely and is usually the first thing to run out at the snack table!
Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (15 ounce) can chili (with or without beans)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Spread the cream cheese along the bottom of a microwave safe baking dish, such as a 9-inch glass pie pan or an 8×11 Pyrex dish.
- Layer the chili over the cream cheese evenly.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese all over the chili.
- Heat in the microwave on high heat for 5 minutes OR a 300-degree oven for 20-30 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
- Serve warm with corn chips, tortilla chips, or crackers. I prefer Fritos Scoops - the chips are strong enough to cut through the cheese.
This recipe can be easily doubled using a larger baking dish. I like to use clear glass dishes so people can see the different layers. It can also be made in a slow cooker. It won’t be as pretty, but it will stay hot throughout the party.
