Hi neisola,

We agree with you, leaving a bucket full of water on the floor is extremely dangerous to children. This is why we have the soaking bucket sitting inside the laundry tub. The tub is high enough to keep out of reach from children.

We appreciate you for pointing that out. We will clarify it on our post.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

I was researching laundry detergent and came across this discussion.

Appreciate the info, but I question the logic of leaving a soaking bucket around with toddlers and babies. Even if you have a tight fitting lid, it's easy to get lazy and forget to put the lid on.

[...] 5. OxyClean & Spray N Wash - for keeping baby’s clothes clean and stain free. I wish I knew about these for my older son. Some of his baby clothes were so stained that I couldn’t even use them for his baby sister. Now I pre-treat all stains with Spray N Wash, soak heavily soiled clothes in OxyClean and water until laundry day, then run the washing machine with a scoop of OxyClean and a scoop of unscented powdered laundry detergent. We use the high efficiency detergent because we have a front loading washer, it’s supposed to minimize the suds and save water and energy. We buy Ultra Plus unscented He powdered laundry detergent from Sears and our OxyClean and Spray N Wash from Target or Costco. See also Top 10 Laundry Tips for Children’s Clothes.
Thanks for your tips, Kayan. I just found out what's agua oxinada, hydrogen peroxide. That can sure take out any stain along with the skin on your fingers if you are not careful.

For stubborn stains like sauces, ink, etc:

You can use lemon. Works like a clorox, just put a few drops on the stain. But the you would have to put it outside under the sun for more effective results.

But if you want a very very very fast way... use agua oxinada - stains go away in a few blinks of an eye. I got this tip from the nurses who always have to keep their white uniform all bright and white.

Hehehehe.
